Rizza: What time is it?
Ibam:   It’s one a.m.
Rizza:  Thanks
Ibam:   You’re welcome.
Bagus: Have you got the time?
Fai:      Yeah. It’s one thirty.
Bagus: Thank you.
Fai:      Don’t mention it


Phrases uses:
1.       o’clock = tepat
2.       a.m. = pagi
3.       p.m. = siang, sore, malam
4.       a half = 30 menit
5.       minutes = menit
6.       a quarter = 15 menit
7.       past = lewat
8.       to = kurang
9.       in the morning = pagi
10.    in the afternoon = siang/sore
11.    in the evening = malam
12.    late = larut
13.    early = pagi-pagi sekali
14.    at dawn = subuh
15.    at night = malam
16.    at midnight = tengah malam
17.    what time = jam berapa
18.    now = sekarang

19.    today = hari ini
20.    tonight = malam ini
21.    tomorrow = besok
22.    yesterday = kemarin
23.    ago = yang lalu
24.    next = depan (misalnya next week = minggu depan)

How do you say in English:
1.      jam 1:10
2.      jam 1:15
3.      jam 1:30
To answer them, first you write the minute:
Example:
Jam 2:05   
You write:        : five minutes
Then:write       : past
Then the hour  : two
So the answer : five minutes past two.

So the answers for the three questions above are:
  1. ten minutes past one.
  2. fifteen minutes past one         or         a quarter past one.
  3. thirty minutes past one            or         a half past one

Do you get it?
GOOD!!!

How do you say in English:
  1. Jam 1:35
  2. Jam 1:45
  3. Jam 1:50
To answer them, first you write the result of 60 minus the minute:
Example:
Jam 2:35   
You write:                 : twenty-five minutes
Then:write                : to
Then the hour + 1    : three
So the answer          : twenty-five minutes to three.

So the answers for the three questions above are:
1.      twenty-five minutes to two.
2.      fifteen minutes to two        or         a quarter to two.
3.      ten minutes to two.
